This Solutions Workshop, co-presented by Doulos and Mentor Graphics, presents a full technical introduction to the Open Verification Methodology supplemented by many practical hints and tips on its adoption. It builds on and complements the Solutions Workshop 1 focused on VIP interoperability within OVM.

This Solutions Workshop brings the OVM story right up to date by a technical outline of the very latest developments in OVM since the release at the start of 2008, including usability and debug enhancements in Questa; and then looks ahead to map out its future development direction. The scope and content is therefore suitable for both OVM newbie's and for those who have already had some exposure.

OVM is a true open source verification methodology standard and was developed by co-operation between Mentor Graphics and Cadence Design Systems. This Solutions Workshop will explore the evolution of OVM, the growing OVM ecosystem and the current status of the OVM libraries.

The significant features of OVM will be detailed from a user's perspective and its application will be illustrated in the context of Questa. Finally, based on experience of adopting and applying OVM, a set of practical adoption tips will be outlined from an independent perspective by Doulos.
