Doulos & CoWare Expand Collaboration
Companies Add Coware Platform Architect Support
for the Doulos ARM System Design Training Portfolio
Morgan Hill and San Jose CA, June 4, 2008- Doulos, the global provider of independent methodology and technology training, and CoWare® Inc, the leading supplier of platform-driven electronic system-level (ESL) design software and services, today announced they will broaden the scope of their successful collaboration on SystemC and transaction-level modeling (TLM) education to encompass the market-leading Doulos ARM training capability.
Engineers can now experience the benefit of Doulos training classes in ARM processor architecture and embedded system design using standards-based SystemC virtual platforms created within CoWare's ESL 2.0 solution for platform architecture design - including classroom access to CoWare Platform Architect and the breadth of ARM IP models available in the CoWare Model Library.
As the only training partner approved by ARM in both North America and Europe, Doulos has delivered customer focused, high-value learning outcomes to development teams preparing for projects that incorporate ARM IP for more than eight years. CoWare has over nine years experience in successfully providing and supporting ESL tools and models for ARM-based designs worldwide. CoWare and Doulos have collaborated on SystemC training since 2003.
Rob Hurley, Doulos CEO comments, "ESL virtual platforms are key enablers for a really effective and accelerated learning path in the ARM SoC design space. This extension to our relationship with CoWare means we can now deliver that, using a fully standards-based SystemC environment for platform architecture design. In addition, engineers using CoWare solutions attending a Doulos class will get vital hands-on experience in their project tool context. This will increase assimilation, so they finish the class project-ready and properly prepared to deal with upcoming design challenges."
"CoWare is delighted that through this co-operation with Doulos, design teams targeting ARM-based platforms can now combine essential SystemC TLM education with a valuable head start in addressing their design challenges," said Patrick Sheridan, Director of Platform Solutions Marketing, CoWare, "The unique combination of CoWare ESL 2.0 solutions alongside Doulos' training excellence in ARM is a winning one, and is especially beneficial for those targeting more complex architectures such as ARM11 and ARM Cortex-based systems."
Doulos ARM System Design training is scheduled on a regular basis in San Jose, California and in Munich, Germany. In-house team training is available worldwide and is tuned to customer requirements. The availability of CoWare ESL 2.0 Solution support is planned for course deliveries starting in September 2008.
