Squeezing the most out of battery-life
using ARM Cortex-M processors
An on-demand webinar presenting practical software development techniques to minimize a microcontroller's energy profile.
Format: Webinar training
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: FREE!
Date: Recording available (see below - registration required)
Webinar Overview:
The proliferation of mobile devices has led to the need to squeeze every last micro-amp-hour out of batteries. Minimizing the energy profile of a microcontroller is not always easy or straight forward. A combination of sleep modes, peripheral control and other techniques can be used to maximize battery life.
In this webinar, strategies for optimizing microcontroller energy profiles are examined which extend battery life while maintaining the integrity of the system. The techniques are demonstrated on an ARM® Cortex®-M processor using the Freescale™ Kinetis™-L board. The IAR Embedded Workbench® and I-scope™ are used to monitor the energy usage.
This training webinar has been developed by Jacob Beningo, Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) and Embedded Systems Consultant from Beningo Engineering.
