Resource Sharing, Synchronisation & Coherency
FREE 1 hour webinar! Friday July 12, 2019 Register now below
This is the first of a series of presentations that will help you unpack the benefits (and challenges) of developing Arm®-based heterogeneous systems to cope with the ever-increasing demand for efficiency in performance and power.
In this first webinar we will explain how heterogeneous multiprocessor (HMP) systems differ from symmetric and asymmetric systems and focus on what's involved with bringing diverse, specialist processors together on an SoC.
- Coherency management for shared cached resources including inner and outer shareability.
- Cache maintenance operations and memory accesses' synchronisation.
- Implementation requirements of mutex objects, guaranteeing deterministic software behaviour.
Diverse Arm assembly examples will be provided to support this presentation and further highlight concepts such as exclusive reservation granules.
Doulos Senior Member Technical Staff Dr David Cabanis will be the instructor on this training webinar, which will consist of a one-hour presentation with interactive Q&A available to attendees throughout.
Schedule and Registration:This webinar will be broadcast twice, at convenient times for international audiences. Please review the times listed below and register for the most appropriate option for your time zone.
