TuxBuildroot has enabled the generation of customised embedded Linux systems for many years. More recently, to help provide a standardised approach, the industry has adopted the OpenEmbedded build system, within the framework of the Yocto Project®.

Yocto provides a very flexible and scalable build environment with strong industry support, although it comes with a significant learning curve, whereas Buildroot provides a simpler, alternative mechanism suitable for many applications. So which do you choose?

In this webinar:

We compare Yocto and Buildroot at a high level to help you decide which would be most suitable for your next project.

The webinar includes a demonstration of how to get started on a new development platform with Buildroot (in this case an i.MX 8M Mini from NXP).

Mark CorbinEmbedded Operating Systems Lead and Buildroot Specialist, Mark Corbin, of Embecosm will present this training webinar, which will consist of a one-hour session, and will be interactive with Q&A participation from attendees.

Attendance is free of charge.
