In a move that reinforces their verification training portfolio and affirms the company's lead in supporting engineers at the forefront of design & verification, Doulos has unveiled new training material covering Assertion-Based Verification and PSL/Sugar.

"Assertion-Based Verification is rapidly being regarded as an essential part of any verification toolkit" comments Doulos Technical Director, John Aynsley. "ABV is changing the way that designers and verification engineers work together to raise the quality of functional verification, and PSL is attracting interest among our customer base."

Engineers will have a number of ways to tap into Doulos know-how in ABV and PSL:

• One is through a new revision of the well established Expert VHDL course, now enhanced to include an introduction to PSL and assertion-based approaches to verification.
• For those seeking in-depth coverage of Accellera's property specification language, Doulos offers a 2-day intensive class Assertion-based Verification using PSL. This course enables engineers to start gaining the benefits of assertions right away by adopting them in a step-wise fashion in their simulation flow. It teaches both the syntax and semantics of the PSL language and the associated verification methodology. (Tool specific variants can be delivered onsite.)
• To supplement the training material available for PSL, Doulos is releasing a sixth title in the definitive reference series, Doulos Golden Reference Guides (GRGs). The pre-publication edition is being unveiled at the DATE exhibition in Paris, and is expected to become a "must have" reference for any engineer writing assertions using PSL. The first edition of this pocket-sized reference guide is priced at 45 Euros.
