The Headstart Kit
Do you want an example design with good documentation to let you experiment? Then this kit is for you.
This page has an example piece of SystemC code for you to download, together with a report. The report describes in detail how to install SystemC (both Windows and Linux); how to set up SystemC projects; how you can do co-simulation with an HDL using commercial simulation tools; and finally there's a version of the code written using the latest features of SystemC 2.2, such as namespaces.
What is in the kit?
The design is a very simple Sum of Squares circuit, implemented in three different styles. There are also Makefiles, scripts, Visual C++ 2005 and Visual C++ 2008 projects, installation notes for SystemC, and project notes for the different tools.
Here are the details:
- PC zip file for use with Microsoft Visual C++ (50kbytes)
- gzipped tar file for use on UNIX
- Report (pdf)
